The Backlog Monster RAWR
Here it is, my full backlog of XBLA titles that I’m not finished with. Some of these I’ve never played, while others were barely started. There are even a few that I’ve beaten but still want to get the final achievements in (TMNT, Penny Arcade, Shadow Complex). They’re sorted by their total TrueAchievement score from smallest to largest, which would theoretically mean easiest to hardest to complete. I’ll probably try to work on them roughly in order.
My goal is to clean up my backlog, not complete it. I’m not a completionist. I see a game as “finished” when I either get 100% of the achievements that I own or realize that it’s simply too unfun to continue playing. In that case I just delete it and probably write some annoyed blog post about it, so win-win for everyone!

In order to limit myself I’ve gone all Chinese on my XBLA library. I figure that I can shrink my total population each month by requiring myself to finish three games before I can buy a new one. I’ll be jonesing for those Summer of Arcade titles so I’ve got plenty motivation. I don’t want to miss any good DOTW’s, though, so if I buy any games from those I’ll just have to earn them by beating three games retroactively before I continue. I’ll go ahead and allow beating said game to count toward its own total since that would still shrink my library in the end. Retail games count for a slot, but only if I get every achievement. Beating or getting rid of a retail game does nothing. Finishing two Steam games counts toward one slot, meaning I would have to finish six Steam games in order to buy one XBLA title. Finishing a XBLA titles that I don’t own still counts because it encourages me to avoid adding games to my backlog.
